Minor programs are intended primarily for students who seek knowledge of business theory and practice to supplement a non-business major.  A minor is not a part of the degree requirements for business majors at Northeastern.

ADVISING FOR BUSINESS MAJORS & MINORS
As soon as you know that you plan to major or minor in a business field, you can begin to map out your degree plans by enlisting the assistance of the Program Advisors in CBM -159. The College's Program Advisors are full-time professionals who can help you select the courses you'll need to earn your degree, maintain an on-going record of your degree progress, and facilitate entry into your classes. For more information, click on the Program Advising link at the left side of this page, or telephone the Office of Program Advisement at (773) 442-6111.

PREREQUISITES FOR ALL BUSINESS MAJOR AND MINOR PROGRAMS
Prerequisites for all business major and minor programs include completing eight Foundation courses with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher and a grade of "C' or better in each course, and a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average for all course work at NEIU.  Please see your advisor or the Undergraduate Program Guide for more details.

FOUNDATION COURSES
Before taking courses for your actual major, anyone desiring to have a major in a business program is required to take certain basic classes to give you a basis on which to build your business education. Thus they are called Foundation Courses.  For more details, click on the link at the left or make an appointment to see an advisor!

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM GUIDE
The College regularly publishes a Program Guide that details business Major and Minor requirements, courses offered, College and University policies and procedures, and information about resources available to undergraduates at Northeastern. Your copy of the Program Guide is available from the Program Advising office in CBM 159, or as an on-line download by clicking the Program Guide link at the left side of this page.

TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS TOWARD GRADUATION
You can easily maintain a record of your progress toward your degree—simply print out the Graduation Checklist from the link at left, then write down each course and step you've taken toward completing your program. (The Program Advisors, of course, will also have a record of your progress).
