Master
of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science
in Accounting (MSA). You'll take classes in the most diverse cultural

MBA
Program

The MBA
Program provides you with a comprehensive knowledge base in business
theory and practice to prepare you for mid- and upper-level
management
positions. The Northeastern MBA is also an excellent value—total
tuition and fees are lower than virtually any other MBA program in Illinois.
To make your graduate program even more affordable, we offer a variety
of financial aid packages, individually configured to meet your needs.
The
Northeastern MBA program is made up of 33 semester hours (11 courses)
of graduate credit. If
your
undergraduate
degree
includes
business
course
work, you may be able to enter directly into the advanced phase of
the MBA program.

MSA Program
|
|
The Master of Science
in Accounting
Program offers you a broad base of knowledge about accounting and business
theory and
practice, tailored for students who wish to meet Illinois'
150 credit-hour requirement for the CPA. Accountants with a graduate
degree and CPA certification are well qualified to provide leadership
in planning, coordinating, and controlling the economic activities
of business and non-business enterprises. The combination of a graduate
Accounting degree and CPA certification is a powerful set of credentials
for career success.
The Northeastern
MSA program includes semester 30 hours of graduate credit. If you have
an undergraduate
degree
in Accounting, you may be able to enroll in advanced MSA courses right
away.

Admission to Northeastern Illinois University Graduate Studies in
Business |
|
Your first
step toward being considered for admission to the MBA or MSA
programs is to submit your application porfolio to the Northeastern
Illinois University Graduate College, who will forward it to the
College of Business and Management for review and decision by the
Admissions Committee. You can download application materials from
the
Graduate College.

The Admissions
Committee evaluates applications on the basis of (1) transcripts of
all prior undergraduate and graduate course work; (2) your
performance on the
Graduate Management Admission Test [GMAT]; (3) a one-page
typewritten statement of Career Goals and Objectives; (4) two letters of
recommendation; and (5) any other evidence [such as work experience]
that will help the committee assess your qualifications. |

To be
considered for full admission to graduate business programs, you
should have a GMAT score of at least 450 and an undergraduate
cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Conditional
admission may be granted to students whose GMAT score or
undergraduate GPA are lower than these thresholds but who are
otherwise well-qualified. International students must, in addition,
score 550 or higher (213 computer-scoring) on the
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), supply an
evaluation of transcript materials by
Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., and must satisfy visa
requirements. |
