A hallmark of both programs is their flexibility, which allows you to earn your degree even while you pursue your current career:

  • Full-time or Part-time enrollment
  • Business or non-business undergraduate degree accepted for admission
  • Small classes and individual attention, to challenge you to learn and grow
  • The most affordable MBA and MSA in the Chicago area.

MBA Program

The MBA Program provides you with a comprehensive knowledge base in business theory and practice to prepare you for mid- and upper-level management positions. The combination of a graduate Accounting degree and CPA certification is a powerful set of credentials for career success.

Admission to Northeastern Illinois University Graduate Studies in Business

Your first step toward being considered for admission to the MBA or MSA programs is to submit your application porfolio to the Northeastern Illinois University Graduate College, who will forward it to the College of Business and Management for review and decision by the Admissions Committee. You can download application materials from the Graduate College.

The Admissions Committee evaluates applications on the basis of (1) transcripts of all prior undergraduate and graduate course work; (2) your performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test [GMAT]; (3) a one-page typewritten statement of Career Goals and Objectives; (4) two letters of recommendation; and (5) any other evidence [such as work experience] that will help the committee assess your qualifications.

To be considered for full admission to graduate business programs, you should have a GMAT score of at least 450 and an undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). Conditional admission may be granted to students whose GMAT score or undergraduate GPA are lower than these thresholds but who are otherwise well-qualified. International students must, in addition, score 550 or higher (213 computer-scoring) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), supply an evaluation of transcript materials by Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc., and must satisfy visa requirements.
