Information for Undergraduates taking classes
in the College of Business and Management
 
All 300-level business courses will be restricted to Business Majors ONLY.
   If you have not officially declared a business major, you must obtain authorization from the Program Advisement Office (CLS 0006) to enroll in any 300-level business courses. 

Authorization will only be granted if you meet the following requirements:

  • have completed all Foundation Courses with a grade of C or better
  • have a Foundation GPA of 2.50 or higher
  • have completed the General Education Requirement
  • have met all course prerequisites for the requested course

Students may request permission to enroll in 300-level business courses while completing the
final Foundation Courses (1 or 2) IF the following requirements are fulfilled:

  • Student is enrolled in the final Foundation Courses
  • A Foundation GPA of 2.50 or higher has been achieved
  • Student has completed or is enrolled in all courses required to complete the General Education Requirement in the Summer 08 semester

You must complete the Upper-Division Course Request Form to request authorization to enroll in 300-level business courses.  The form is available in the Program Advisement Office and just outside the door (CLS 0006).  Students not meeting the above requirements at the time of request will be denied permission to enroll in courses during the advanced registration period.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED.

 

Are you ready to take Management 393???

Beginning in the Summer 2008 semester,

MANAGEMENT 393, Strategic Management, is a restricted course.
ALL students must obtain authorization from the Program Advisement Office to enroll in MNGT 393.

No student will be allowed to enroll in MNGT 393 without authorization

Authorization will be granted only if the following requirements have been fulfilled:

  • In FINAL University semester prior to graduation (completing all course requirements in the semester for which you are registering!)

  • ALL COBM Core Courses Successfully Completed   (a grade of C or better)

  • Graduation application process completed 

    ALL graduation requirements fulfilled at the time of registration. 

    This includes

    • GPA requirements  (minimum cumulative and major GPA of 2.50)

    • Fulfillment of the English Competency Exam requirement 
      You must pass the English Competency Exam to fulfill the English Competency Exam Requirement

      You may r
      egister the English Competency Exam (ECE)in D-130

    • Fulfillment of the Constitution requirement.
      You may pass the Constitution Exam or PSCI 216: American National Government to fulfill the Constitution Requirement
      You may register for the Constitution Exam in CLS 2080
