Northeastern Illinois University is a state-supported
institution located in a residential neighborhood in the
northwest section of Chicago. The University serves a
culturally diverse student population of approximately 11,000.
Newsweek magazine has named Northeastern Illinois University the

number one in Illinois.
Currently, one tenure-track accounting position at the
Assistant/Associate Professor rank is available.
Teaching areas are: financial accounting, and managerial
accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ability to
teach international accounting is a plus. Applications are
invited from candidates with Ph.D./D.B.A. degree in accounting
from AACSB-accredited schools. ABDs in advanced
dissertation stages will be considered for non-tenure track
appointment. Demonstrated potential for excellent
teaching and research is required. Preference may be given to
candidates with at least three years of successful teaching
experience and a track record of refereed publications. Relevant
business experience, online teaching experience, and possessing
CPA certificate are desirable. The successful candidate will be
expected to teach at the Main Campus in Chicago and at the
University Center in Lake County. Review of applications begins
