A scientific calculator (similar to TI-30) is required.
Grading: There will be 3 tests and a Final Exam each counting 25% of your grade.
If you miss one of the first 3 tests the final will count double. If you take the first 3 tests but miss the final, the first 3 will each count 33%. If you miss one of the first 3 and the final you will receive an "F" for the course.
Each test will be normed on a scale of 90-100 A, 80-90 B, 65-80 C, below 65 F. I do not give D or R grades and I grades are given only in extreme situations with appropriate documentation.
Recommended problems are listed on the reverse side. These will not be collected or graded. A student who masters these problems should be able to get a "B" in the course. Simply being able to do the assigned problems will not guarantee an "A".
