Undergraduate Programs

The department offers Studio Art and Art History sequences leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree, in addition to certification for teaching art in K-12 schools. Separate minors in Art for Education majors and Liberal Arts students are also offered.

Emphasis in Art History

Students who select an emphasis in art history complete the following courses:

Level I
Art 106 Art History I 3 cr.
Art 107 Art History II 3 cr.
Art 120 Drawing I 3 cr.
Art 130 Two-Dimentional Design 3 cr.
Art 140 Three-Dimentional Design 3 cr.
 
Level II
Art 202 Methods of Research in Art History 3 cr.
 
Level III
Art 300 Students must complete seven art history courses at the 300-level 21 cr.

In addition, there must be a demonstration of reading competence in a foreign language approved by the advisor or 6 credit hours of a foreign language.
