1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Type ftp://yourusername:password@ftp.neiu.edu
3. Open your http folder
4. Drag and Drop your file from wherever it’s saved (on your computer or USB drive) into your http folder.  (Make sure your original file name has no spaces or strange numbering…it’ll make it harder to link.)
5. Close the windows.
6. Open your page on Netscape Communicator.
7. Click on File, Edit Page.
8. Create a link to your file by typing the URL of your document, which will look like this: http://www.neiu.edu/~username/nameofdocument.pub

9. Save your work.
10. Publish your website.
11. Open your website on Internet Explorer.
12. Click on your link.
13. SUCCESS
