New Forms of Revolution?
On the conference’s third day we will explore new or alternative concepts of revolution: nonviolent revolution — from Gandhi to the “Velvet” Revolution in Czechoslovakia to the “Saffron” Revolution in Burma; the “rights revolution” inspired by the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights; the “Bolivarian Revolution” in Latin America today; and others.
