The Tutoring Center has tutors to
assist you with your General Education courses. Tutors are available
by appointment and on a walk-in basis. The Learning Center also offers
Skill-Building Workshops throughout the semester to offer tips and strategies
for becoming a successful students. Past workshops have included
the following sessions: Time Management, Developing a Study System,
Evaluating Your Academic Progress, and Preparing for Finals. These workshops
are open to all interested students and are held during Activity Hour
(1:40-2:40 Tuesdays & Thursdays).
Writing

The Writing Lab
can help you all all aspects of college writing. They can also help
you to review for the English Competency Exam and for the Illinois Basic
Skills Test. (The Basic Skills Test is only required for College of
Education Majors.)
Reading

The Reading Lab can work with you to
help you strengthen your reading skills.

They have tutors available who can help
you with your current Math course, assist you in your review for the
Math potion of the Illinois Basic Skills Test (The Basic Skills Test
is only required for College of Education Majors.), and guide you to
references to help you study for the Math Placement Exam. Their website
also has links to resources on the
internet that you can use
to review your math skills.
Career

pursue. They can
also assist you in choosing a major.
Assesment and Testing

This is the office that coordinates and conducts
the Math & English Placement tests and the English Competency Exam.
