Student Level 2 parking fee is automatically included in each student’s bill. Students who choose to participate in Level 2 parking will be assessed a parking fee based on the number of credit hours in which they are enrolled. Students who will not park a vehicle on campus, must submit a parking fee waiver to the Cashier's Office in order to have this fee removed from their account.

Any vehicle not properly displaying a permit by the beginning of the third full week of classes will be ticketed.

Student Level 1

Students have the option to upgrade their parking to Level 1. In order to secure Level 1 parking, you must opt out of Level 2 parking first by submitting a parking fee waiver and pay the student direct purchase permit fee of $379.00 per semester at the Parking Office.

Parking Waivers

Students who do not want to participate in the parking program, or who prefer to purchase a Level 1 permit, must sign a parking fee waiver form to opt out of the Level 2 parking program.

The parking fee waiver form must be submitted to the Cashier’s Office. A hard copy of the waiver form is also available at the Cashier’s Office and the Parking Office.

Payments and Issuing

Student parking fees are included on the student bill and must be paid at the Cashier’s Office. You are required to pay for daily parking prior to completing the online vehicle registration process. If the parking fee has been waived and you wish to participate in the parking program, the fee must be re-instated and paid in full at the Cashier’s Office.

Any vehicle not properly displaying a permit by the beginning of the third full week of classes will be ticketed.

If you have any outstanding parking obligations or problems registering your permit/vehicle online, please contact the Parking Office for assistance during normal business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Refunds and Cancellations

Students not requiring on-campus parking must cancel/opt out of the parking program by submitting a parking fee waiver form to the Cashier’s Office. A hard copy of the waiver form is also available at the Cashier’s Office and the Parking Office.

All refunds will be issued in accordance with University tuition deadline dates.

Students who withdraw from their classes may be eligible for a refund of their parking fee. The parking permit decal must be returned to the Parking Office at the time classes are completely withdrawn. The parking permit of a student who drops all their classes and receives a parking refund will become invalid. Any use of an invalid permit may result in an “illegal use of permit” violation and/or vehicle immobilization “boot”.

Parking Meters

There are a limited number of metered parking spots available for short-term parking. The maximum time allowed at a metered space is 30 minutes. The rate is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. Meters accept nickels, dimes and quarters. Meter rates and time limits are posted on all parking meters. Please visit the Campus Parking Locations and Maps page to view our on-campus parking options.

Northeastern parking permits are not valid at coin meter stalls.

Parking meter compliance is enforced 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Vehicles parked at expired meters will be ticketed.

Drop Off Locations

There are two drop-off locations—Lech Walesa Hall and the Northeastern Child Care Center. Child Care Center drop-off parking spots may be used for temporary parking associated with the drop off and pick up of children participating in the daycare program. Lech Walesa Hall drop-off spots are for drop off and pick up of students only. No parking is allowed. The Parking Office monitors these areas, and any vehicle found violating the use of these drop off spaces will be ticketed. Please visit the Campus Parking Locations and Maps page to view our on-campus parking options.
