National Report Shows Northeastern Illinois University is a Top Producer of Ethnically Diverse Graduates
CHICAGO - Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is among the top universities in the United States in the number of bachelor's and master's degrees earned by students of diverse ethnic backgrounds, according to Diverse - Issues in Higher Education's annual publication of the "Top Degree Producers 2012."
Northeastern Illinois University values the inclusion of a broad spectrum of students, staff and faculty in the life of the University. NEIU is consistently ranked by U.S. News and World Report as one of the most diverse universities in the Midwest, and the University is a federally designated Hispanic serving institution.
"We encourage the open and respectful expression of ideas and differences in thoughts, experiences and opinions," Northeastern Illinois University President Sharon Hahs explained.
The University's undergraduate programs are ranked in 14 categories, while the graduate programs hold the number one spot in three categories.
