Readmission applicants are former Northeastern Illinois University students who were registered as degree-seeking undergraduates, left Northeastern for three or more semesters in succession (summer session included), and wish to return to the University.
Readmission applicants are considered on the basis of their status at the time they left Northeastern and any college work they have completed elsewhere since their last attendance at the University.
How to Apply/Admission Requirements
To apply for readmission, please submit the following documents:
- Undergraduate Application and $30 application fee
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended after last attending Northeastern
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for coursework taken after last attending Northeastern

Petition for Academic Reinstatement
Former Northeastern students who left the University on academic dismissal status, regardless of whether they have attended another collegiate institution in the interval, must submit a petition to the Academic Standards Committee.
