The Advising Center promotes student success by providing students with the information, guidance and support they need to make informed decisions. Advisors encourage students to take responsibility for achieving their academic goals, empowering students as they set out on the road to lifelong learning.
Throughout the advising process students are provided with opportunities to:
- Learn about educational options, degree requirements, and university policies
- Clarify educational, career and life goals through the development of a meaningful academic plan
- Become familiar with support services and resources
The Advising Center is located on the lower level of Lech Walesa Hall, west side, in Room LWH-0027. Advisors meet with students by appointment and during walk-in hours. Walk-in hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We also have evening appointments available. Please schedule an appointment to see an advisor after 4:00 p.m. Please note that walk-in hours are subject to change during University orientations, holidays and other special events. Please call our office at (773) 442-5470 before your visit to confirm our availability or to schedule an appointment. During peak registration periods the Center gets busy and wait times may be lengthy, particularly between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Please try to plan accordingly.
