About the A&P Council

The Administrative and Professional Council was established in Fall 2000 to represent A&P employees in the University governance system. The leadership of the Council has come from individuals in many different units including Enrollment Services, Career Services, Sponsored Programs, University Technology Services, Campus Recreation, Purchasing, and Public Safety.

What the A&P Council Does for You

Through the efforts of the Council and of many dedicated individuals, A/P employees are now represented on significant committees and governance groups on campus, such as the University Planning & Budget Council, the Ombuds Working Group, the Provost Search Committee, and others.

The Council helps ensure effective communication among A&P employees, the Board of Trustees, the Civil Service Council, the Faculty Senate, the Student Government Association, and other appropriate constituencies. The Council supports and encourages A&P employees to participate in all aspects of the shared-governance process on campus.
