Facility Rentals and Vendor Tables
Have your next event at NEIU!
Northeastern Illinois University welcomes non-university organizations, individuals, groups, or vendors to use its facilities for functions, meetings or events on a fee per use basis.
Private Rentals
To have your next event at NEIU, please fill out the Private Rental Event Reservation Request Form. Once the form is submitted a representative from our office will contact you.
Rental Facilities
Auditorium - The Northeastern Illinois University auditorium is a large yet intimate (seating approximately 430) with excellent sight line and acoustics, versatile stage suitable for music, theater, and dance. This auditorium is has fixed seating and is equipped with a projector, screen, sound system, and a podium. Food and beverages are NOT permitted in the auditorium.
Recital Hall - The recital hall seats 170 in an acoustically ideal setting. The NEIU Music Department utilizes the Recital Hall to showcase its talented NEIU student body. Food and beverages are NOT permitted in the recital hall.
Student Union - Built in 1974, the Student Union at Northeastern Illinois University is the center of student activity on campus. Located in the heart of the campus, the Student Union provides lounges, meeting rooms, and the cafeteria.
Whether you are planning a conference for 200 or meeting for 10, the Student Union is a great place for events. The Student Union offers 11 meeting and event spaces. Various locations are suitable for meetings, conferences, receptions, banquets, dances, movies, etc.
PE Complex, Classrooms and Outdoor Spaces - These spaces are used by students all year long. Renting these spaces internally or externally is decided by the UEO, based on case by case bases.
Box Office - You may rent the box office at an additional fee. The fee includes the following services:
- Placement on the NEIU Box Office website, or a “buy now” button for performances, which can be placed on your website.
- Telephone sales through the NEIU Box Office
- Box Office staff the night of the performance
- A login and password for access to sales reports and patron information through the Vendini™ ticketing interface
- Electronic scanning of tickets on the night of the show
Dining Services
Aramark provides dining and catering services in the Student Union and is the preferred cater on campus. Aramark catering services provide an extensive catering menu for all your food needs. If your event is in need of food services please contact Aramark directly at 773.442.5337.

If your event is not taking place in the Student Union and you would like to use a different caterer please speak to one of the staff reservationists.
