Safety Escorts
The NEIU Police Department offers a Safety Escort service to NEIU students, faculty and staff. The service is provided particularly during hours of darkness, for persons walking on campus to the parking lots or adjacent city streets.
Call the NEIU Police Dept. at ext. 4100 and provide the following information:
*Your Full Name
*Your Current Location
*Your Destination

Fingerprinting
The Northeastern Illinois University Police Department Offers Fingerprinting Services 7 Days a Week.
Fingerprinting is available to:
*University Faculty
*University Staff
*University Students
*The Public Community
There is a charge of $10 per fingerprint card for non-University related purposes.
Requirements for fingerprinting:
*Completed fingerprint cards (if provided by requesting agency)
*Government issued photo identification (i.e. driver’s license, passport)
*$10 cash or check for each completed fingerprint card
*Any special instructions for purpose of fingerprints
*Signature on each card must be done at time of fingerprinting
-We ask that you please call the NEIU Police Dept. 30 minutes prior to verify that there is an Officer available for fingerprinting.

Vehicle Lockout Assistance
As a public service to the University community, the NEIU Police Dept. will attempt to unlock cars for persons who are parked in NEIU Parking lots. If you lock your keys in your vehicle please come into the NEIU Police Dept. and request assistance.

*Driver’s License
*Vehicle Plate Number
*Current Location of vehicle
