Maria Lazanyi Bio
Maria is an international student from Romania, who came to the United States seven years ago. She transferred from Oakton Community College in the spring 2011. Her major is Business Administration and she hopes to graduate by 2013. For the past three years, she dedicated her efforts towards helping students in the Office of Admission at Oakton Community College. These experiences have given her an appreciation of the cultural differences and perspectives of students at NEIU. As a Transfer Peer Mentor, she is committed to helping transfer students achieve their goals at NEIU. In her free time, Maria is a volunteer for the Scholarship Foundation Program at Oakton.
