El Centro
El Centro is an academic success program at Northeastern Illinois University. Students who demonstrate academic potential but do not meet the general admission requirements may be considered for alternative admission to NEIU-El Centro.
To apply you must submit an admission application to El Centro, participate in a pre-admission interview, submit a personal statement, and submit one letter of recommendation from counselors and/or teachers in addition to the required general admissions documents. El Centro is open to Freshmen and Transfer Applicants only. Refer to the Freshmen or Transfer Applicant sections for additional documents required for admission.
