Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is seeking a Survey Analyst for our Institutional Research Department. This entry-level position reports directly to the Director of Institutional Research. This position is an integral part of the project team responsible for the collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating data and information about the university in response to Federal, state and institutional data reporting requirements. These include managing survey research from inception to analysis, analyzing university data for internal and external constituents, producing the annual Fact Book and producing ad hoc reports for the Director of Institutional Research and other senior administrators.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include management of IBHE Alumni and NSSE Surveys. This includes preparing materials for the alumni survey, monitoring response rate, creating data files for office use and preparing reports by college, management of files, monitoring response rate, and maintaining day to day communications with NSSE staff and IBHE staff. This position is also responsible for production of an annual NEIU Fact Book, the university fact sheet, and analysis of data from the National Student Clearinghouse. The successful candidate will also supervise graduate students for work related to the alumni surveys and NSSE survey and perform other related duties as assigned by the director.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master’s degree or BA/BS and 6 years applied research in higher education are required. Required skills and abilities include quantitative research design and survey methodology. Applicants must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative research environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel also required. Experience using Cognos and SPSS a plus.
