1. Do you think that your elementary and
secondary school education prepared you for the level of reading and writing
skills you needed in order to succeed as a university student? If the answer is yes, describe what was good
about your elementary and secondary education.

2. Many people have argued that there is a
literary crisis in the U.S.
public education. Do you believe that
there is such a crisis? If so, how do
you feel the public schools could improve?
