Registration for the Spring 2013 semester will take place as follows:

Registration Process

Your student “class level” and “hours earned” determine the earliest time that you can register. To determine when to register, follow these steps:

1. Log into NEIUport (http://neiuport.neiu.edu). (NEIUport is operational Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 11:59 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.)
2. Click on the “Current Student” tab
3. Click on “Registration Status” in the “Registration Tools” channel
4. Select “Spring 2013”
5. Obtain the ‘Your Class for registration purposes is’ information
6. Add the number of hours for your current ‘level’ (institutional and transfer) displayed under “Earned Credit” Note: Courses not yet graded are not included in “Earned Credit”.
7. Locate your class and the number of “Credit Hours Earned” on the chart below to determine when you can begin to register. Once your registration time begins, you may register or adjust your schedule until the last day of the registration period (January 21).

Registration Confirmation Process

Once you have registered for your classes, you must confirm your registration by making an initial payment by the date indicated or your classes will be dropped. (Financial aid recipients please see the information on the Automatic Confirmation Procedure - Financial Aid Recipients page.
