Department Overview
Student Computing Services provides computer lab operations support to alleviate problems that users are having with the computing systems. Student Computing Services assists users in all phases of use of all supported computing, communications, and LAN services and establishes working relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Student Computing Services also provides technical support and workshop-based training for students utilizing student computing resources by preparing instructional materials for training and operational uses.
Functioning Units

When a problem is first encountered, these workers attempt a basic level of support. If they are unable to assist with the problem, they escalate the problem to the appropriate staff members. |
| Student Lab Managers |

When a problem is first escalated, these workers rely on their experience to assist with problems. If they are unable to correct the problem, they report the issue to the Student Computing Services Specialists. |
| Student Computing Services Specialists |
|
In the event that the problem cannot be resolved at the first or second tier of support, a full-time staff member will resolve the issue or communicate directly with any other department necessary to get the issue resolved. |
