Freshman Admission Requirements
You are eligible for admission if you have graduated or will graduate from high school and meet the following requirements:

High school class rank in the top half of your graduating class or |
| |
ACT composite of 19 and above or |
| |
SAT combined score of 890 or above |
All freshmen must also have completed the following high school subjects:
| |
Four years of English |
| |
Three years of Mathematics (may include computer programming |
| |
Three years of Social Science |
| |
Three years of Natural Science |
| |
Two years of Fine Arts, Foreign Languages and/or courses in Vocational Education (only one vocational education) |
If you are 18 years of age or older, you can be considered upon successful completion of the GED. The ACT or SAT is also required if you are under 21 years of age. Review the Admission Application for full details.

Advanced Placement Program Although not required for admission, Northeastern Illinois University accepts Advanced Placement examination scores. If you have taken an Advanced Placement Exam, you should request that your scores be sent to Northeastern Illinois University, Admissions Office, 5500 N. St. Louis Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625.
