In order for a student to progress from one phase to the next within the Master's degree program, it is important to note the procedural steps that are necessary to be properly designated. Following the procedures will enable you to complete your program on schedule.
Phase One: Students At Large
A Student-At-Large must have a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. To be designated as a Student At Large, apply to Enrollment Services. You will be issued a personal identification number (PIN) that will enable you to register for classes through the touchtone registration system (TTRS).
Students At Large may not take more than three (3) courses in Sequences I and II of the LEAD program while a Phase One "Student-At-Large". In order to continue in the Master's degree program, a student must apply for and be admitted to the LEAD program.
Students are advised to check with Enrollment Services regarding application deadlines. Two to four weeks should be allowed to process completed applications. Prior to taking LEAD courses as a Student At Large, students also are advised to check on the LEAD program admission requirements.
Students are encouraged to apply to the Graduate College for admission to the Master's degree program after their acceptance by the University as a Student At Large. It should be noted that priority for class registration is given to graduate students who have been formally admitted into the LEAD program. It is the student's responsibility to contact the Graduate College regarding the status of their application.
