A Message from the Program Coordinator
This web site has been developed by the ELAD faculty and the NEIU Graduate College in
order to acquaint our students with the department's policies and procedures and to provide
a professionally rewarding experience for our students.
The Graduate Program in Higher Education
The Higher Education Leadership Concentration of the Educational Leadership Program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective leaders in colleges, universities, and community colleges. The program stresses analysis and understanding of higher education settings, while providing students with skills in leadership and management. Emphasis is given to building expertise in communication, team building, decision processes, and project management.
The program is designed with the part-time student in mind. Classes are traditionally scheduled during the later afternoon, evenings, and Saturdays.
