Research and Teaching Interests
As a political theorist, my work focuses on the History of Political Thought, the Philosophy of Interpretive Inquiry, the Theory and Practice of the American Legal Order, and the structural grounds of identity politics. In ordinary language, all that means my teaching and research focuses on how the ways we think are inter-related with the ways we act. I teach American Politics, canonical thinkers like Rousseau, Marx and Hobbes, and I sometimes work with feminist and critical "race" theory. My specialty is the work of Hannah Arendt.
