Research and Teaching Interests
|
Marshall Thompson’s
areas of interest include representative institutions, parties and party
systems, and political economy. Specifically, he has examined how interbranch
relations and party systems affect state capacity and state-society
relations. His fieldwork includes extensive research in Ethiopia and Kenya. Dr. Thompson teaches
classes on comparative politics, democratic institutions, international
political economy, and African politics.
