Professional Affiliations
Chicago Brass Festival. The Fourth Annual Chicago Brass Festival at Northeastern Illinois University will take place on campus March 9 - 10, 2012.
Chicago Clarinet Ensemble is a dynamic collaboration of Chicago's finest clarinetists. In a recent performance at the Chicago Humanities Festival the Ensemble thrilled the audience with their electric performance of Steve Reich's New York Counterpoint with the world renowned John Bruce Yeh as soloist and conductor. CCE was invited to perform at Chicago's Looptopia and at the Vandoren Clarinet Ensemble Festival.
Live broadcasts include a performance and interview on WFMT's Impromptu and a live webcast of their performance at Chicago Clarinet Collaborations 2009. In March of 2010 the Chicago Clarinet Ensemble performed on the Merit School of Music's LIVE FROM GOTTLEIB. In May of 2010 the CCE featured Anthony McGill of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra as their guest soloists.
They continue to collaborate with some of the finest musical artists in the world including Larry Combs, John Yeh, Charlene Zimmerman, Lawrie Bloom, and John Hagstrom.
CCE's next performance at Northeatern is Saturday, April 21 will feature Elsa & Walter Verdehr.

Ensemble Español Center for Spanish Dance and Music. The Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater is the premier Spanish dance company and center in the United States to have in-residence status at a university, Northeastern Illinois University.
Ruth Page Dance Series. The Ruth Page Center for the Arts promotes Ms. Page's vision of dance as an innovative art form and provides the highest level training to young dancers, professionals, and those who study dance for personal enrichment.
Office of Cultural Events Each year Northeastern Illinois University invites a diverse group of renowned performing artists and lecturers to the campus through our professional series, the Jewel Box Series, the Performing Arts Series, and the Presidential Lecture Series. In addition, the Department of Music offers many more concerts that highlight faculty artists and student groups.
