‘Charley’s Aunt’
Chicago—Northeastern Illinois University’s (NEIU) Stage Center Theatre will present “Charley’s Aunt” by Brandon Thomas. The show will run from October 2 – 4, 9 – 11, 16 – 18 at 7:30 p.m. at NEIU’s Stage Center Theatre, Building F, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave. in Chicago (use campus entrance located at 3701 W. Bryn Mawr).
General admission is $10, senior citizens and students $8. Free parking is available in Lot F. For more information and tickets, call the Stage Center Box Office at (773) 442-4274.
Jack and Charley want to profess their love to their respective lovers Miss Verdun and Miss Spettigue. But this cannot happen with out a visit from Charley’s aunt. When Charley’s aunt cancels her trip at the last minute, the boys dress a classmate as the aunt. When the real aunt shows up at their door the boys must find a way to explain this to the girls. This is a hilarious British farce that will drive you to tears of laughter.
