NEIU to Offer African Summer Institute for Teachers
WHAT: Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) will offer a three-week intensive African Summer Institute for Teachers. This course for K-12 teachers and other interested participants will focus on the content, pedagogical techniques and resources required to teach about Africa in an accurate and objective manner.
WHEN: Mondays through Thursdays, July 7 – 24, 8:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

DETAILS: The African Summer Institute for Teachers will introduce new ways to integrate social, cultural, historical, economic, and political themes about Africa into a classroom curriculum. It is listed in the NEIU Schedule of Classes for the Summer II Session as ELAD-EDFN 411B: Comparative Education.
