“Taking Steps” has many of the usual elements of farce: marital misunderstanding, an old Victorian house with a ghost, unexpected guests, mistaken partners in bed, and constant comings and goings. Take all these elements and place them on stage on a flat floor requiring characters to run up imaginary steps, open imaginary doors, and get locked in an imaginary closet and you have an A+ farce. The play is extremely funny, very quirky and makes for an eventful evening.
