U.S. News and World Report Ranks NEIU Most Diverse in Midwest

Northeastern Illinois University Again Ranked Most Ethnically Diverse University in the Midwest According to U.S. News and World Report
CHICAGO – Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago has again been ranked the most ethnically diverse university in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report’s yearly edition of best colleges. Northeastern has held the number one spot since the magazine started ranking this category in 1997.
The data for the rankings were drawn from each institution’s 2007-2008 enrollment numbers. According to U.S. News & World Report, the groups forming the basis for the diversity ranking calculations were Native Americans, Asian-Americans, African-Americans who are non-Hispanic, whites who are non-Hispanic, and Hispanics.
Northeastern Illinois University is a fully accredited public university serving 12,000 students in the State of Illinois.
