NEIU Chorus and Chamber Singers to Honor NIU Victims with a FREE Performance of Mozart’s Requiem and Choral Favorites
WHAT: Under the direction of Michael Melton, the Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) Chorus will perform Mozart’s final work, the “Requiem in D.” The concert also will feature the NEIU Chamber Singers in choral favorites that span the history of Western music under the batons of student conductors.
This performance will be dedicated to the victims of the shootings at Northern Illinois University (NIU) on February 14. The NEIU President’s Office has invited NIU administrators and faculty to this event.
Admission is FREE.
WHERE: NEIU Auditorium, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave. in Chicago (Use campus entrance located at 3701 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.) Free parking is available in Lot F.
