FAFSA Financial Aid Workshop Free and Open to the Public at Northeastern Illinois University Campuses

Northeastern Illinois University invites students and parents needing help understanding or completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to its campuses to receive individual assistance from financial aid professionals.

Families will need to bring all completed or estimated 2009 income tax forms as well as any other asset information to complete the 2010-2011 FAFSA. Other information that will be available includes: electronic filing of the FAFSA; changes to the 2010-2011 FAFSA; early awareness issues such as academic preparation; the effect of the economy of the student loan industry and planning for college costs; the College Illinois 529 prepaid tuition program; the types of financial aid sources, such as grants, scholarships, Federal Work-Study, and educational loans; and general information about federal tax credits and benefits for higher education. |
