Delegation Dinner
NEIU-El Centro proudly hosts the closing event for the Mexican Social Workers delegation visiting Chicago. Social workers from Mexico and Chicago will participate in the sharing of social welfare best practices. Sponsored by NEIU- El Centro, The Office of International Programs, Academic Development, Department of Social Work, and the National Association of Social Workers-Illinois Chapter.

Mexico en Mil Colores
Mexico as seen through the lenses of Mexican photographer, Claudia Zamudio Mainou. This exhibit illustrates Mexico’s crafts, foods, colorful textures, and landscapes that serve as an inspiration for its art. Also featured, el Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Photography Exhibit and Altar.

Vagina Monologues
In celebration of Women's History Month NEIU students preformed vignettes giving a voice to women around the world. A recurring theme was female empowerment and the ultimate quest to end violence against women. (To view Click Here)
Free FAFSA Completion Workshop
Students learned how to apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Local financial aid experts were available to answer student's questions and guide them through the process. Co-sponsored by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC).
