How do I register for NEIU-El Centro courses?
NEIU students admitted through NEIU-El Centro get priority course registration at NEIU-El Centro during the Advance Registration period. Non-El Centro students planning on taking classes at NEIU-El Centro may register during the Advance, Open, and Late registration periods without an authorization. All students interested in taking a Math and/or English course must obtain a course authorization from NEIU-El Centro.
What courses do you offer?
NEIU-El Centro offers general education courses and several selected courses in teacher education, graduate and Weekend Institute course offerings.
Do you offer GED courses and/or English as a Second Language courses?
No, NEIU-El Centro only offers university level courses.
Do you have academic and financial aid advisors?
Yes, NEIU-El Centro provides academic and financial aid services to students admitted through NEIU-El Centro.
Where is NEIU-El Centro located?
We are located approximately four miles south of the main campus
(3119 North Pulaski Rd. 1 Block south of Belmont).
Is there any parking at NEIU-El Centro?
No, students are encouraged to arrive early to find city street parking or use public transportation.
Are the NEIU-El Centro courses bilingual (English/Spanish)?
No, all courses are taught in English, unless it is a specific language course.
What are the tuition and fees at NEIU-Centro?
Students at NEIU-El Centro pay the same tuition and fees as the students at the main campus.
Do you have to be Latino to take classes at NEIU-El Centro?
No, any NEIU student is welcomed to take courses at NEIU-El Centro.
What is the difference between El Centro and the main campus?
NEIU-El Centro, is a educational satellite campus catering to students interested in taking courses primarily in the evenings and weekends.
Do you have child care facilities?
No, we do not have any child care services.
Do you have a computer lab?
Yes, we have two modern computer laboratories connected to the NEIU main campus network.
Do you have a food service available at NEIU-El Centro?
We have limited food services consisting of two vending machines.
