Ron Glick earned a Doctorate in Criminology from the University of California (Berkeley). Professor Glick's research and writing are in the area of substance abuse, focusing on heroin addiction in the Chicago Puerto Rican community. He co-edited Drugs in Hispanic Communities (Rutgers Press, 1990). Professor Glick has directed a series of drug and violence prevention grants from the U.S. Department of Education and the State of Illinois. These grants have prepared college/university faculty and future k-12 teachers to integrate drug and violence prevention into classes across the curriculum.
