Professional Interests
My research focuses on the Sociology of HIV/AIDS, Social Inequality, and Social Movements. I am especially interested in how multiple oppressions intersect and how various marginalized groups respond to and resist these oppressions. Currently, I am exploring the experiences of gay, HIV positive, undocumented, Latino immigrants as well as homophobia and the death penalty.
