v Use simple
lab apparati to
investigate the movement of water through open conduits and through
porous media: Bucket-to-Bucket Transfer, Capillary Action, Darcy
Discovery, Draining Work, Holey Water Bottle, and Infiltration
Observation. Be prepared to present your results.

GUIDELINES FOR TODAY'S LAB EXPLORATION:

Draw
diagrams or
make graphs to illustrate salient points. Graphs may be
quantitative (have numbers and units on the scales) or qualitative
(just show general trends with no numbers or units on the scales).
·
If
you decide
you want to use other materials, or you have an idea for improving the
experiment, please ask, as we have a whole lab at our disposal!
·
Please
clean up after
you finish so that the next group will be able to work.
