Daily Objectives #8 (February 2, 2006) Dr. Bartels
By the end of today's class, you should be able to do the following:
v Recognize the basic symmetry elements (reflection across a plane, rotation on an axis, and inversion through a point) in crystal shapes.
v Explain the
difference between reflection, rotation, and inversion).
v Remember that
there are only 32 possible combinations of these symmetry elements
around a central point.
