
LEO BACINO. is a 20th Century U.S. historian who specializes in foreign policy and political economy issues. He teaches both halves of the U.S. history survey and senior-level U.S. history classes. He has published Reconstructing Russia: U.S. Policy in Revolutionary Russia, 1917-1922 (The Kent State University Press, 1999). This study places Woodrow Wilson’s Russian policy squarely in the Progressive tradition, arguing that he viewed economic assistance, not military force, as the only antidote to bolshevism. He is continuing to research Wilsonian policy in revolutionary Russia.
