	I am John Freidheim,  pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in
Aurora, IL.  I am married to Carol and have two children Cara, 15 and
Sean, 10.  

I converted to Lutheranism just after the formation of the ELCA.  I am
still learning what some of you have deeply understand.  I  was raised RC
and went to parochial schools, so my experience with the catechumate is
diiferent and incomplete.  I read your commentrs with interest.
