The Secondary Education Major in English

NOTES: Requirements for the Secondary Education Major in English were changed in response to an assessment survey of successful graduates of the program placed in Chicago schools and the input of professors in Education and relevant areas in the Arts and Sciences. The new major, approved Fall 2000, is designed to better prepare our graduates for the current realities of teaching English in Chicago-area secondary schools.
