The Northeastern Illinois University Chess Club is a registered student organization dedicated to promoting the game of chess on campus. Chess Club members meet regularly to watch, discuss, analyze, and play chess. Chess players of every ability level are invited to participate, and beginners are welcome to come and learn as well. The Club has members of all levels of playing ability, from beginners to masters, so everyone can find an opponent appropriate for them.

Click here for tournament results and lots of photos.Spring 2004 Open TournamentThe Chess Club is holding its Spring 2004 Open Tournament Saturday May 22, 2004, in the basement of the Ronald Williams Library, on campus. Game format is SS5 G/30. There is no entry fee. Check-in will begin at 9:30AM, with round one scheduled to begin at 10AM. Please bring chess clocks if you have them; boards and sets will be provided.
