  Anna Antaramian
Associate Professor, Director of Theatre

M.F.A., New York University  (New York City) 

  Anna Antaramian has an M.F.A. from New Your University in New York City, and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She was a professional actress for several years, at one point touring with the Everyman Players throughout the United States and in Europe.  While in New York she worked at the Public Theatre, the WPA, the Colanades Theatre, The Circle-In-The-Square Downtown, The Actor's Studio, The Title Theatre.  In Boston she worked with the Open Door Theatre and in Stamford the Hartman Theatre Co.  She has worked with Israel Horovitz, John Guare, Eric Bentley, Ken Holamon, and Patrick McGuire.  She is the Past President of the Illinois Theatre Association and directs for the Rocky Mountain Repertoire Company in Colorado.  She is Director of Theatre at Northeastern Illinois University.


Stage Center Theatre Season:
  Four Main Stage and seven Studio Series productions are mounted in the academic year.  The Main Stage Productions are directed by faculty and guest directors; the Studio Series Productions are directed by student and guest directors.  Two shows are produced in the Summer Stock Season by faculty and guest directors.

Stage Center Theatre Technical Work:
  Technical assistance is always needed in set construction, props, lights, costumes, make-up, and publicity.  We encourage student designers in sets, lighting and costuming with proper guidance.

Stage Center Theatre Acting/Directing:
  Auditions are open for all productions to any interested individuals including NEIU faculty, staff, students, off-campus professionals and amateurs.
